THAT, aware that the Nairobi City County is the hub of East and Central Africa with vast potential and resources for wooing foreign investors especially in the hospitality industry; concerned that there is poor location of food courts and eating hubs with most of the eating places being housed within or adjacent to major petrol stations within the city or along major highways thereby exposing consumers to pollution more so to the risk of exposure to the hazardous Benzene Toloen Ethylbenzen and Xylene (BTEX) commonly found in petroleum fumes; this Assembly urges the County Executive Committee to take necessary measures to re-locate food courts situated within or adjacent to petrol stations to safer havens.
