THAT, taking into consideration the findings of the Select Committee on Appointments on its report on the vetting of the nominee for approval as a County Secretary laid on the table of the Assembly on Wednesday 15th March 2023 and pursuant to Section 44 (2) (b), of the County Government Act 2012, Section 3 and 9 of the Public Appointments, County Assembly Approvals Act 2017 and Standing Order No. 48 (4), this assembly rejects the nomination of Dr. Jairus Musumba for appointment as County Secretary by H.E the Governor, and resolve that the appointment authority; H. E. the Governor of Nairobi City County appoints another officer other than the nominee within seven (7) days of adoption of this report to act on the position of the County Secretary pursuant to applicable laws until the position is substantially filled.
